It was an eventful Saturday evening at the Swift Clinic.
After a long journey through Europe, a representative from our partner organization in Romania arrived in Frankfurt. He had 12 commons swifts with him, who all require medical attention. Many of them were malnutritioned before they were handed over to the Romanian foster home. One swift has a highly ulcerous eye.
When the clock approached midnight, our Italian partners arrived with 8 common swifts and 1 pallid swift, who suffer from feather damages.
As of now, the Swift Clinic treated 741 patients this year, which is last year's total number of patients. The current workload is some 140 swifts.
